Finally got a pic of them installed. Everything works well, and I'm getting about 32psi of boost at WOT in my hottest chip setting.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about Glowshift. Some don't have problems, but quite a few have had pyrometers that don't work right and boost gauges that don't work. But they are priced much better. I got a deal on mine, $75 for both gauges and a 3 gauge pod. Didn't need a 3 gauge pod so I traded it for the pillar pod I put in there.

Nothing yet... still waiting. And now our roof has a leak after the storms we have been having. South of us got 20 inches of rain in 48 hours, and we got about 10-15.

I'm going to have to do the same "one of these days", on my 04 PowerStroke!

 

I don't tow too often, but with my 160cc injectors in it now I don't want to melt pistons if I decide to get frisky with it or take it to the track.
I'm planning a intercooler install later down the road to help with that.

 

I know they are a fairly new company with mixed reviews. I have read about problems with gauges that the company has fixed or replaced with no hassles so that's a positive sign that they stand behind there products. I figure for $175 for 3 gauges (including pyro) and a pillar pod it's worth taking a chance on them.

 

The intercooler is a must at the point you are at now, it will help a great deal Evan.

 

Yeah, when I can get a early '99 intake spider I will start getting the tubing and a intercooler from a 7.3 or 6.0 so I can make my setup.

My temps are fine now, but I'll see how it does towing my wife's car across the country in a few months.

 

Evan, I have read that some guy used a 6.0 intercooler on a 7.3, I think it was in the Diesel Power magazine a couple of months ago. I see a 6.0 intercoolers add on Creigslist every once in awhile, the 6.0 guys must be updating to a Banks or ?

 

That's right Les. I can use one from a 99-03 7.3 truck or from a 6.0

They both fit very well in my body style truck, just have to modify the pipes a little bit. The 6.0 intercoolers are supposed to flow a little better but either one will do what I need it to. I see them pretty often also for pretty cheap.

 

If you really want a good flowing intercooler look into the Spearco. The banks stuff is pretty good but overpriced IMO. The Spearco isn't cheap but they are some of the best out there.
I'm going to try to get a 6.0 cooler when I get to that project...
