The clips used to retain the moulding also retain the door trim panel and are the same for all 1967/72 F100/750's since the moulding (C7TZ8120942A) is the same.
This before and after 1971 jazz is BS

C7TZ81237A84B .. Door Trim Panel Moulding Retainer Clip / Obsolete
ANTIQUE AUTO SUPPLY in Arlington TX has ONE = 817-275-2381.
GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has ONE = 800-543-4959.
No Ford Dealer, no other obsolete parts vendor has any.
I looked in Carpenter's 1967/79 truck repro parts catalog, he does not have these clips. He has them for 1973/79's, but they are not the same.
The clips are not listed in Carolina Classics (carolinaclassics.com) or the Truck and Car Shop (truckandcarshop.com) repro parts catalogs. I don't have any other repro catalogs.
Ford used a 'scissors' like clip for decades to retain door trim panels on passenger cars. It's possible one of these types could be substituted.
Upholstery shops carry these, but take the moulding with you as there are different widths.

Door panel clips
Try the mustang repro. guys it's been a few years since ive been in the doors of my 69' stang but if memory treats me right the mustangs with the base model door panels used the same retainers as the the trucks used if they had the vinyl type panels seams like the 71'72's ford did away with the metal door panel and went with the full vinyl type panels your panel should have a ''D'' type hole that the clip will slide into and the part of the clip thats going to fit into the hole on the door will be the scissor type be very careful pulling that passenger panel off that door panel is OLD and the material its made of is going to be brittle they make a tool looks like a fork it's for sneaking behind the panel and prying directly on the clip and less on the panel good luck

The trucks have a separate moulding surrounding the door trim panel, the clips that retain the moulding also retain the door trim panel.
The same moulding was used 1967/72. The clips that retain the moulding/trim panels are the butterfly type, not the scissors type.
I suggested the OP try scissors clips since only two of the correct clips could be found.
Mustangs do not have a separate moulding, the clips are the scissors type: 383033S
1967/71 F100/350 Customs have metal door panels, Rangers, Ranger XLT's have upholstered door trim panels.
All 1972 F100/350's have door trim panels, including Customs.

The trim number dude is talking about was used up till 70' the 71'-72' sport custom / explorer / ranger / ranger xlt ford went to a full upholstered panel that did not use the stainless with black stripe trim on these panels the trim did not hold the panel on the door it just covered the screws you have to take the trim off then you can get to the screws that hold the steel panel on once you remove the window crank and door release and arm rest you can then remove the steel panel the steel panels have holes just big enough to retain the stainless trim with the butterfly clips the door will have a hole in the same area of the hole in the panel about an 1/8'' larger so the trim clips only bite on the panel not the door so you can remove the panel the 67'-70' with upholstered or molded plastic panels are smaller and afix to the steel panel then they put the stainless trim on to hide the screws and make a good looking panel if you go to cjponyparts.com and put HW 420 in the search box I bet those clips will work

I'm not revising my data based on a special ordered truck, because the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog lists door trim panels for all 1972 models.
If the truck was a special order, and your dad specifically didn't want door trim panels, Ford would have deleted them.
A special ordered vehicle like this would have 6 digit DSO denoting a Domestic Special Order.

Bill,
Dad only ordered a base truck from the dealer with only 6 options. That is what Ford shipped us for the trim level, a White interior with the metal door panels in a Coral Custom. They must have been clearing out the warehouse stock since the wouldn't be used in the new 73's. The air filter housing was an oddball as it took Fram CA-351 filters (crossed to D2AE-9601-AA according to Fram) instead of a CA-324 (C8AF-9601-A) as listed in the catalogs. I remember the CA-351 as it was listed as being used a Ranger filter, but I didn't have a Ranger trim level. The options were 302, long bed, T-18, AM radio, the best bench seat that we could get for the Custom base trim, and a step bumper. We got a stupid little mirror in the glove box which dad threw away, and put on a set of aftermarket West Coast mirrors which we threw away 5 years later, when we bought aftermarket copies of the 77 swing mirrors which were very nice, and not door crushers in brush.

C8AZ9601A .. Air Cleaner Element (Motorcraft FA50)
1968/72 F100/350 360/390 / 1969/71 F100 302.
----------------------------------------------
D2AZ9601A .. Air Cleaner Element (Motorcraft FA97)
1972 F100 302.
Both these elements were also used on myriad Passenger Cars.
Whether the truck is a Ranger...or not, has nothing to do with what air cleaner it has. Oil bath air cleaners were available as an option.
1967/72 F100/350: The standard equipment left hand outside mirror was the el cheapo manually operated passenger car type (C7AZ17696A).
This mirror was not installed at the factory. All outside mirrors were installed by the dealers.
If this mirror (or any other style of outside mirror) was factory installed, and the customer wanted something else, the holes in the door(s) would have to filled in and then the door(s) would have to be repainted.
