I'm up for some mild off-roading/exploring near Red Rock, Potato Ridge, Potosi mine area or anything you can come up with, thats not too crazy for an Excursion with a 2" lift.
I'll roll with ya, as long as you promise to not run me over. My Excursion doesn't see too much dirt, but I have some other rides that do. It's almost cool enough for me to start hitting the local trails again. There are a couple of good rides down by Searchlight that lead to the lake.
X convoy!
My PSD X hasn't seen much dirt either, and I don't plan on trashing it. Im used to having a small (relatively) Bronco, so this will be a good test of the X capabilities, the one time I took it out I was fairly impressed. I have been around Searchlight, but not towards the lake from there, I have heard that its a cool area.
I promise not to run you over if you promise not to back into me.
There are a lot of great places to wheel in Las Vegas. Head to Goodsprings then into Sandy Valley & over the hill to Tecopa. Kelso Sand Dunes & Dumont Sand Dunes. We use to go real often when we lived there. Up Lovell Canyon then across to Trout Canyon. To name a few.

Good ideas, thanks. I have been on alot of the backroads around vegas, but it has been a while. I was actually thinking of exploring the area between Goodsprings and Sandy recently too.

I've been on some of those roads. It's not bad once you get away from the highway.
This weekend I'll be cutting up my utility trailer to make it a little longer. Next weekend I'm off to Utah for a fall ride. After that, the weather here will be perfect to go roll around in the desert.
The Mormon Well Road in the Sheep Mountains just North of town is a fun one too. It will take you from US 95 across the range and back down to the US 93. Lots of snow in the winter though.
I forgot about this thread, been kinda dead, no one has hooked up either. had my battery die between potosi mine and sandy, walked several miles and called metro to pick us up before dark, drove back with a new battery and another excursion in the dead of night sucked in the cold weather. No more solo wheelin for me
