2010 FTE '61-'79 Classic Championship ~ Round-9 AND 10 Entry Thread(s).

Make sure you include specifications, (The Bigger The Picture, the Better)
-----------------------------------------
First 10 Truck's are in! Any after that and I'll contact you for the next round.
Here's the rule's:
And with that - entry threads are now going to begin popping open
These are the updated rules for all classes - for all to see ~
1) Contest open to all model and year Ford Trucks (includes vans, SUV's, All Wheel Drive, all levels of customization, etc) WITHIN THAT CLASS

2) Number of entries in each round limited to the first ten who enter a round. If after two weeks have passed there are less than ten but more than one entries, the entries for that round will close and the deciding poll will run anyway. If there is only one entry it wins by default and moves on to the CHAMPIONSHIP round. Contestants may only enter ONE TRUCK per round.

3) To enter - post a picture of your truck at least 700 by 800 pixels in size (no links to other sites. Picture must be displayed in thread) Avoid extremely large images, please. (1024 pixels largest side of image). Huge pictures may interfere with some connection speeds. ALL images will be tailored to size by committee to fit in poll thread. You may only enter ONE truck in each round

4) RULE OF OWNERSHIP: You must have owned the truck AT THE TIME YOUR PICTURE OF IT WAS TAKEN to enter it. You may not enter anyone elses truck FOR them. No exceptions

5) CHAMPIONSHIP RULES:
The first place finisher in each round qualifies and is entered in the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND.
After ten regular rounds, the CHAMPIONSHIP consists of the first place finishers from the preceding ten rounds running in a "Best of the Best" contest.

6) VOTE MONGERING: You may enlist your buds and chapter, other groups or whatever to vote for your entry. HOWEVER - be warned that all of the polls are anonymous, and your buds can always vote for someone else. There is no way to know! SPAMMING the forums should not be done at any time for this purpose, be careful what you do...

7) Once a poll is up for a round, it will be active until the last day of the month. These polls close by themselves and whoever wins does. If for some reason there is a tie - a tie breaker poll will run until the following sunday night at the latest. Local midnight is based on Central Time in the USA.

8) NON-EXCLUSION: Employees of FTE and/or IBI welcome to enter including moderators or other unpaid affiliates as well as sponsors of the site

9) REPEAT ENTRIES: Out of sportsmanship, it is asked that if you want to enter a following contest, enter no more than two in a row. After waiting for one in between, you may enter again. THIS WILL NOT BE ENFORCED! It is a request, in order to give others a chance. ONCE YOU HAVE WON A ROUND (this is important) you may not enter another round that season with another truck - your winning truck is automatically entered in the finals, and no more than one entry in the finals by the same person is permitted.

10) PRIZES: 1st place winner in each round will receive a free one year paid membership to Club FTE, which provides access to extra features such as the Club FTE Members Only forum. Those who already are supporters will be given a twelve month extension to the membership they already have.
PS: "You're damn right we're doing it again!"

Let's show 'em how us "Classy Classic's" roll...
I've yet to have a contest that didn't have at LEAST 8 '61-'79's in it, and this one isn't goin' to be an exception!
Entry's will Run until Round-8 Closes!
PM Your Buddies!
Thanks,
-Anthony 76SCS-

It said we can enter vehicles we had at the time of the picture. How about this truck? I had this a few years ago I picked up real cheap. 1969 F250 Ranger with a 390 and C6 and dana 60 rear end. It actually ran and drove, was sitting in a guys woods. Took the spark plugs out put oil down the cylinders, put a new battery on it and a couple different tires and some tinkering and drove it out of the holes it was in. Took the hood off and drove it around the yard and up and down the road killing the tires. Now it's parts are in a couple different trucks and I still have the rear end. So the truck and trailer have both been destroyed since these pictures. These pictures were taken after I already started taking parts off it, couldn't wait to get it off the trailer

1979 Ford F350 Ranger Lariat 4X4, 400CI with the stock 2 BBL carborator. Warner T18 4 speed with a non divorced NP205 (?) Transfer case. Dana 60 front and rear with Limited Slip.

Made in the San Jose plant in California and lives only 20 miles from where it was made. I have had 3 79 Ford trucks in my lifetime and this particular truck was my dream truck when I was in High School back in 1979. I even still have my old binder with the words "79 Ford Trucks #1" written on the cover. Corney I know but I was only 17.

Work to be done,
6" Lift kit being added on Sept 4, Edelbrock carb and intake manifold scheduled for this winter. New dash pad and re-upholstered seat by the end of summer if not sooner. Tires and rims early next year. Paint (Same color) Next summer. It will be a period correct truck when its done and will surly turn heads.

1970 F-250 C.S., 360, 4sp - NO power brakes, NO power steering, NO ac. It's a Ranger XLT but I don't know why, we love her anyways.

Hey, Mine's a Ranger-XLT with NO A/C, No Auto Transmission.
The Ranger-XLT was The Top of The Line Trim Package From '70-'77. Then in '78, They Came out with The ranger Lariat. The Ranger, was First Used in Pickup's in '64 or '65, 'n is Very Rare, it Get's it's Name From The Edsel. Which, was it's own Division of Ford. 'N was Created For Henry's Ford's Son. The Company Flopped 'n only Lasted until Mid '60 Model year. (2 Years)

I'll have to take a couple of the interior and thanks for your explanation. The manual pics were for a guy in CA that I gave the manual to. I also have a '71 manual that I'm going to be giving away as soon as I can find it.

Ok, I took a couple of snaps this morning, she's a little dirty from me and my son going to the bone yard yesterday. If you go to my photobucket page you can see the rest of the pics. The seat is in perfect condition, I hate having the seat cover on but I only take it off when we go to cruise-in's or shows.

Well, why not...

Man, lots of nice trucks showing here! that red and white 79 F350 has me droolin'!

Well, here is Blackie as he is today, fresh pics.
'78 'Bronco' (soon to be re-badged since it technically isn't a bronco anymore, its a pick-up) Custom Half Cab Conversion with stock rear window.
400, C6, 205, swapped in Ford 8.8" rear, 4.10s, 33" MTs, on 15" chrome smoothies.
Kryloned flames(my first flame job... not my last; they're fun to do!)

Just finished the half cab today, this is version 2.0... Its exactly 4.5' of bed, and almost 2' of behind the seat storage in the cab. Its a good mix, and enough for my uses.

I think he has 3" or 4"of spring style lift (no blocks) because it sits higher than other broncs on 33s locally, and these rear springs are curved pretty good and have killer articulation and flex... But I don't know for sure.

(that flame paint is smoother than that... the streaks are camera glare and a bit of water smear on the hood)
