Vacuum Diagrams - 1987 F150

It's been awhile since I have posted. Most of the time, I can find what I need by doing a search of the forum, but not this time.

I am in need of any and all vacuum hoses diagrams that I can find for my truck. I am in the process of trying replacing all of the 23 year old hoses that I can find. This all started hunting down a vacuum leak on my EGR valve. Most of the hoses that are installed are cracked and wethered real bad and it seemed like the thing to do before winter gets here.

I know, I know, I need to buy the Ford manuals. My wife asked what to get me for my birthday next month and I told her the Ford manuals.

I have a 1987 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 5.0L 302 automatic transmission.

If you need anymore infomation, just let me know, and I will get it posted.

Thanks for any and all help!

Lazy K,

Thanks for the thread. I had already tried that website, but it starts at 1988 and I have a 1987. I am sure one of those are close to mine, but I don't know which.

I am going to try to find the thread on the Haynes download now.

BTW, where can I find my Calibration Code on my truck?

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ilar-book.html Here is the thread with the link to the Haynes.
Sorry the other link did not help.
Another thing you could try is to register with the the repair section of autozone.com (free) then fill in the details of your truck, click on "emissions" and you should get the full vacuum diagram.
No idea on the calibration code.

Took me a while to find it, but this is a really helpful post: Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Single Post - Vacuum Diagram Acronyms

VACUUM DIAGRAM ACRONYMS

A/CL: Located in the air cleaner
A/CL DV: Air Cleaner Diverter Valve
A/CL BI MET: Air Cleaner Bi-Metallic Valve
A/CL CWM: Air Cleaner Cold Weather Modulator
ACV: Air Control Valve
AIR: Ford calls this the Thermactor, short for Thermal Reactor. CA vehicles are installed with it as standard. Air Injection Reaction is what it stands for.
AIR BPV: Air Bypass Valve (aka Thermactor Air Bypass TAB)
BV: Bowl Vent (on top of the float tanks)
CARB: Carburetor
CPRV: Canister Purge Valve
DIST: Distributor
EGR: Exhaust Gas Recirculator
EFCA:
FLTR: Filter
FPR: Fuel Pressure Regulator
IVV: Thermactor Idle Vacuum Valve
MAN VAC: Indicating Manifold vacuum-Vacuum source
MAP: Manifold Absolute Pressure
SOLV: Solenoid Valve
SV-CBV: Carburetor Fuel Bowl Solenoid Vent Valve
VAC:
VCKV: Vacuum Check Valve
VRESER: Vacuum Reservoir Solenoid Valve
VRV:
V CK V: Vacuum Check Valve
VRDV: Distributor Retard Delay Valve
TVS: Throttle Valve Solenoid (aka Solepot, Dashpot)
TVV: Thermostatic Vacuum Valve (aka Ported Vacuum Switches)
PURGE CV: Vapor Canister Purge Valve

Color Codes to do Vacuum Diagram
Red = Main vacuum
Green = EGR function
Orange = Heat control Valve (exhaust & intake) (AKA heat riser but more complex)
Yellow = Distributor advance
White = EGR vacuum (source)
Black = Mainly used for the Evaporative emissions control
Black = Thermactor ACV or Diverter valve
Blue = Throttle Kicker control
Pink = Thermactor Air Bypass Valve (BPV)

So this is what it took me two days to come up with. What a VRV is? What an EFCA is? Still searching. But I have grown to hate acronyms because they can be for many things. Some sound like the same ball park. How would you like to go in and order an LSD (Limited Slip Differential) and get an sugar cube full of drugs? Why it can't be spelled out is beyond me.
