1998 F150 LOSS OF POWER

My 98 F150 with 4.6 4 x 2 just has started to act up, loosing power. When I press pedal down engine starts to miss, run like crap and loss power. What can it be?? 145xxx k miles but always ran great. Fuel pump, coils, plug wires I think are all original so should they be changed?? How can I test components?? What do you think?
Thanks.

Not enough to go on.
At the mileage, you need to put plugs in, inspect the boots, replace the fuel filter.
Then we talk about what you have left.
Codes, specificlly how it acts etc.
Otherwise we are shooting in the dark.

Check engine on, Po306. Changed plugs about a month ago, autolite. Also changed furl filter.

P0306 plugs, wires fuel pump, coils, vacuum leak, injector fault. Yikes where did I start?

Thanks.

Well pulled plug # 6, really wet and rusty? Funny just installed 1 month ago. Cleaned and reinstalled. Runs great. How did plug exterior get wet, etc?? Also should I replace coils, wires still??
Thanks for all your help.

If you still have your owners manual, look at the scheduled maintenance, then bring it all up to speed. If the truck still runs like crap, then you can move on with diagnostics, but chances are pretty good that some TLC will fix the issue.

I would throw a couple ideas in, except you need to do the above first so this can be narrowed down, otherwise we all can produce a very long and potentially confusing list.

What ideas do you have?
