I beam quize

Who knows who holds the paten on drop I beams,not the retail outlet the "Paten holder name"

Patents generally expire between 17 to 20 years from date of issue. More likely than not the patent on the original drop I-beam is past the expiration date. The original patent applicant can be located however.

What particular year are you interested, and the application use, since there has probably been different modifications to the patent?

Paten

Well I'm looking for 1977 I figure if I can find the plans on the paten I can make my own I-beams. Planing to pull front clip today and see what I can and can't do.

do you know if the ibeams are cast iron or cased steel?

Not sure I understand where you are taking this project, but see if this helps:

Can you tell me how to change my album picture? the main one that you can click on to open album.

Yes sir, I can:

See the blue ribbon line across the top of the forum page... to the far left is "User CP"... click that.

On the left side column go down till you see "Pictures & Albums"... click that.

Chose the album to open.

Of the pictures in that album, click on the one you want to use as an album cover and open that picture.

At the bottom right of the picture you will see "Edit Picture"... click that.

Under you picture you will see a circle "this is your album cover"... click that.

Now click the button to "Save Changes".

There ya go.

Thanx

i just wanted to give thanx to Casey for his help. I just got a call from my fab guy and he is going to make me drop beams for $230 out of 1/2 thick steel. We still have to take some serious messurments,but all in all $230 is killer.
