Thank a soldier

Hello everyone,

I've been a member of the Excursions forum for a couple of years. Long story short I heard a story about a soldier in Iraq who opened up a can of water only to find a bug in it.

I thought WTF, these guys and girls are dying over there and I'm not doing anything for them. So I decided to do something. I'm in the hotel and restaurant business outside of Philadelphia. I put together a website to let all the service men and woman know that I appreciate the sacrifices they are making.

If they come to my restaurant, I'll buy them a steak dinner, a Budweiser or a Coke, and a slice of apple pie, as a thank you from me to them. There must be other business owners here that could make some kind of offer. 20% off new sneakers? Discount on auto repairs, I don't know, something.

If you're interested in participating my website is:

Welcome to thankyousoldiers.org

It's free, there's no catch, just no adult advertising and nothing that requires a purchase.

Thanks for reading, and if the mods decide this isn't appropriate for this forum I totally understand. If you agree with what I'm doing please help spread the word through Facebook, Twitter, or whatever way you can.

If you're a returning vet I look forward to seeing you.

Thanks,

Chris

I'm going to forward the web address to my step-daughter. Her husband is currently in Afghanistan with the 101st Airbourn. She'll forward it to him. There's one.

My nephew (a Marine currently stationed in Afghanistan) lives just north of Philly.
I'll forward your generous offer on to him.

Thank you Chris, for your support of our men and women serving overseas in the armed forces.

Does she have Army wife friends that she could forward it to?

I moved this thread to the PA Chapter since you are located in PA. While I am grateful to the sacrifices the men and women who serve our great country, and the work you are doing for them, it has no place in open forum.

Rather than have the thread deleted, I chose to move it to the local chapter.

Questions you can pm me.

Moved from General Non Automotive
