Power Seat Won't move back

I've had an intermittent problem with the driver side power seat not moving back. Can't figure out if its a switch or drive gear. Anyone ran into these problems or had to remove their seat and take it apart.

Every now and again my driver side power seat will not move either. This is what I found. After spending half an hour checking fuses, wires, motors and what not I said hey dipstick, see what the owners manual says about power seats. Sure enough deep within the seat section, it states that if the power seat doesnt't work, put the seat back section of the seat down to it's lowest position a couple of times. This somehow resets the body module for the driver seat. Weird but it has worked several times for me. I just have to remember to do this, before I go into full on trouble shooting mode again.

"put the seat back section of the seat down to it's lowest position"

Leaning it back into the reclining position is actually in the manual ?!?

Don't beat yourself up too much dipstick !!!!
Wow - never would have thought to try that either

^ yeah it's in there. The funny thing is, after I read that I said yea right! how are you supposed to move the power seat if it's not working (duh). Then I realized that there is a lever that performs this function. Somewhere in the automotive world of engineers, there's at least one guy, who probably still gets a kick out of this.

No cigar. Does anyone know if the passenger seat is on a different fuse? It doesn't seem to even be getting power

Gents,

Same issue with my truck, clicking noise when trying to move the seat forward or back. All three motors are good. I obviously have a stripped gear, and searching for a home fix. If you find one please post.
