#1 Heating Oil

I run twin IDI 7.3 in a boat.

Think they would run ok on #1 heating oil. It would save me almost a buck a gallon.

No rules for boats to burn ULS fuel.

Thanks

Don't have a clue on your engine, but #1 is kerosene. #2 is diesel. The reason it's cheaper for home use is lack of road taxes. If that helps any.

Heating oil usually doesn't have the lubricity additives that diesel fuel has.

Over time, it could wear on your pump and injectors.
