Original Window Sticker Thread

Sorry if this has been done...

Please comment if there's anything my truck has that is cool, useless, unique, rare, stupid or otherwise.

Looks like a very nicely equipped truck. What really surprises me is how expensive the options were -almost 600.00 for for the 265 tires and 300.00 for the limited slip. And the 25k for the truck. Very expensive 15 years ago.

Really....mine too...but again, this was beginning of the truck/suv heyday in sales. They could upcharge due to demand I'm guessing.

Was tires an upcharge on every sticker?

Also, how did they decide on what axle ratio went on what truck? I am guessing I got the 3.08 as it didn't have towing package and I live in the SE US (flatter, but not flat). I did notice my sticker is rated 1mpg better.

I wonder what a comparable truck would cost today? I got mine 15 years later for $2,300.

I'm guessing my $25,000 would be more like $30,000 today maybe more?

Adjusting for inflation, that $25000 truck then would cost about $36000 in 2010 dollars.

I thought that $25,000 was pretty steep in 95 for a F-150.............then I found the window sticker for the wife's 96 Explorer Limited...........$36,000!!!!

You guys sure paid alot for half ton small block trucks

And i am curious. I was unaware LAriat was an option in the 92-72 Fseries but your window sticker shows it. WHat all did that include?

Sorry to dig up an old thread, does anyone know where to get a window sticker if one of the previous owners lost it? I tried looking this morning for an online service, but didn't come up with much. One site said my truck had cruise control and A/C, both of which it no longer has. Just trying to confirm what the original equipment was.

I think what you want is a Build Sheet and not a window sticker.
It has been a few years but I got my Build Sheet from the Ford Motor Co. for my 1995 F150.

Take a look at this post:

Cool: 2 tone paint job, 5 speed manual.
Stupid: auto hubs, electric 4x4.
Okay: 302 V8

This could become a lively thread, depending on how many folks have their window stickers. The PO of my truck had kept it, which was nice... I'll try to get a good picture of mine and post it up.

I've been able to decode my VIN, axle codes, etc because I have the Ford Service manuals, but I'd like to know what options came on the truck. Guess I'll talk to my Ford dealership to see if they can pull the info or if not send something to Ford directly to ask then for the info.

25k for an F-150... wow. I wonder what My truck would have been originally. Especially considering the equivalent truck today is in the $80,000 range.

I figured Mine would have been about 35k? But now I'm thinking maybe more..
