I was doing an oil change today, and noticed my jounce front bumper stops for the suspension were practically falling off. So, I looked up on a few ford part websites and it appears the older sytle they used on the 00-02 are no longer made and they have replaced them with the 03-05 style.

Mine is the taller round jounce bumper that is about 3.5" tall and the new style is a much shorter square block.

Any one replace the older style jounce with the newer style? Does it work fine? Or do I need to track down the older style jounce?

Yeah, it's a common practice to replace the bump stops with the '03+ stops. Or for cheap guys like me, to cut the old bumpers with a sawzall.

Sounds like you my need new front springs if your jounce bumper's are shot.
