Truck Misses at Idel and Acceleration
Hello all, not sure if my signature is working or adequate enough: 2001 F350 7.3, CC, 4x4, recently changed my AFE intake back to stock, 4" MBRP turbo back straight exhaust, TS chip stock/50/75/100/high idel/no start, glowshift gauges trans/pyro/boost, BD torque converter, 315-75-16 TOYO Open Country.....Within the last month it has had an oil change (with filter), fuel filter changed, cps changed, new intake filter.
I noticed a miss after one day I was driving down the road and flipped me chip (no, no) and the truck cut out for a second. After that the throttle was sluggish and when I got home I noticed it shaking every now and then at idle...like it was a miss but not a bad miss. I've had it scanned for compression, contribution, and injectors buzzed, all checked out good. Other day I was driving it back home from getting the driver side axle shaft replaced and it was missing during accleration, no matter what my chip was set on. (forgot to mention I got the sluggishness out, disconnected the batteries and let everything reset). It does this in gear or in park...drive train has no affect on it. Oil pressure was good when I went to the mechanic shop....oil pressure got up to 2400+psi. Fuel pressure is also good at 60psi. I'm thinkig its the IDM, but I'm also wanting other opinions. I've read another forum where a guy had the same issue and he opened the valve on the filter housing, with the truck running, to check for air in the line. When He did this, the truck smoothed out. Any ideas about what would cause it to act like that?? Thanks in advance for replys
