Tranny fluid leak

So I towed my car up to Portland and back last weekend. Flawless and not a problem. But when I got to Boise to a friend's house I was backing the trailer into his driveway and noticed I was leaking a line of tranny fluid down his driveway and when I stopped it just puddled up. Let it sit for a while and cool off since I just drove 400+miles on it. Drove forward and no leak. Topped it off and drove 300 more miles home and still no leak. Haven't tried in reverse really other than backing out of the drive and there isn't a puddle under the truck sitting. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: found a few suggestions searching
Pulling in reverse will get the trans hot in a hurry.... The front seal can and does flip causing aleak, it might return to normal after it cools down but, eventually it will fail though. There is a new seal (viton IIRC) that's supposed to cure it.

Might have started to over heat the trans fluid. Fluid expands as it gets hot. Or did you back up an incline? Slip yoke might have just moved and allowed fluid to pass temporarily until the "load" was taken off the shaft. (thats what she said) ahaha.

Im2Tall I happen to live in couerdalene as well!
