Sorry if this is rudementary and crude, but I did my best to copy the order from my manual. It covers Ford Trucks '65 ~ '86.
This is the V8 firing order. If yours is different let me know. I have orders for both straight six and V6.

Kay on post #4 i left you a Diag that i found here on FTE , when replacing Spark plug wires, do 1 at a time, measure the new one with the old one for size, that way, you will never get lost with the fireing order, but then again, this is a great way to learn, and work your way out

Good advice Chellie. I didn't do that when I replaced the plugs and wires on an '82 Jeep Wagonner I had. great dependable 4X4 that was. Unfortunatly I had to figure out what was what with the wires because I didn't do them one at a time. I unhooked all of them.

So yeah, one at a time is definatly the way to go.

I should also mention I was young, and thought I knew everything. Plus it was my first time doing that kinda thing myself.

Kay, remove all the spark plug wires from the eng. and match them up, normally you will have a pair of small, med, long and longer wires 2 of each, now find #1 on the cap, its next to the clip that holds the cap on, mark it with some chalk or nail polish LOL
looking down at the cap, the fireing order goes in a counter clockwise rotation, it looks like a med wire will be used for #1 cyl. #1 is on the pass side front of the eng, put the wire in the #1 shown on the cap and #1 cyl, pass side front of eng. next is #5 it looks like a small wire, put that in the cap next in a counter clock wise rotation, then to #5 Cyl. thats on the driver side, front cyl of the eng.

to make the job a little easier, spray a little WD40 into the spark plug boot, it will slip in better. Are you ok now with the Info that has been posted Kay ?
