Thanks for the warm welcome sddesigns!
Story goes: Friend of a friend impounded it and person never claimed it, he got the title and started to fix it up and since he has an 07 F150 doesnt need it.
Its 94 F250 XLT with the 5.8L V8 4x4 and an automatic. Right now it needs moderate repairs. #1 cyl has a bad injector, oil pans leaking and since the friend owns a bodyshop says he will fiberglass it. It needs some minor rust repair, and an oil sender unit. I do like the fact the interior is about an 8/10 and the steering and suspension is still very tight for 140k. The trans seems new/rebuilt b/c its the cleanest thing under the truck and it shifts smooth, it sits very high for some reason (seems higher than most 4x4 F250 of that era) and doesnt seem to have a lift kit. It also has the nice alcoa wheels and 33 inch tires on it.
Mainly what worries me is the fact the frame is quite rusty and has heavy rust scale on it. I plan to remove the bed and maybe the cab and treat the whole thing with POR15. Also it rides VERY rough, I am thinking about getting rancho adjustable shocks to cure that.
One thing does anyone know, how do you shift into low range 4wd? I tried and can only seem to get it into high, seems all you do is pull the lever up?

Hey Marc, sounds like a nice project truck, you will need at least 25 posts to setup your signature and be able to send and receive PM's. Also to post in the ads section.
You can easily get all 25 in the monthly BS thread, which is almost always active!
