i cannot find any manuals or diagrams with any indication regarding my question.

i just replaced my engine coolant temperature sensor. in the process i discovered another sensor that appears to be the same as the temperature sensor. so i did some research. there is another sensors seeming very similar which is the coolant temperature switch.

which one is which and where do they go? two almost identical items within inches of each other. i placed the new temperature sensor right after the thermostat. the other location is about 3 inches to right.

did i change the right one?

 

nevermind. im retarded. i pulled the connector off of the other one and they did not match the connectors.
