Alright, after reading the whole thread through, Maybe the ICON 2.5" lift kit instead. Back to my original thought.

 

If you like the ICON kit, you may want to check out RCD (Race Car Dynamics) Ford F250 4wd

Their leveling kit is by all indications the exact same thing as ICON at 2/3 the cost! Having used just spacers on my 2006 F350 and lived with that for 4 years, I would much prefer to spend the extra money this time for the full spring kit along with some Billsteins to rid me of these worthless Rancho shocks.

When I put my 5er, 2400 lb pin weight, on my truck it sets level and I do not want to put air bags on this truck. I have to be getting better fuel mileage with my truck going down hill empty....

 

I did mine with the rough country leveling kit and its the way it should be now. Level with no front end sag or rake whatsoever. The ride was not changed by the kit install and it looks nice...

 

Curious to know after several months now, how you guys are making out with the 2" lift. Any tire wear issues, handling or loading issues? Did anyone decide to install the adjustable track bar to bring the axle back in line?

I have a 2011 F350 that has the considerable amount of lift in the back as stated in this thread. My 09 F250 sat nice and level and was CERTAINLY higher off the ground in the front compared to the 350. Maybe the rake causes it to lose clearance up front I don't know.

After reading MANY threads on this subject, I'm contemplating the Autospring kit used here, and possibly a track bar.

Did you guys swap out your stock shocks? I don't really care for the extensions.

Ready-lift appears to make a pretty comprehensive package and I am considering that as well.

Any other advice?

I'll likely follow with dumping the stock michelins as well.

Personally I think the whole track bar issue is way over-blown. Looking at a leveled truck 9 out of 10 people can't tell the difference in the axle location. An adjustable bar is a huge investment just to satisfy your own mind that everything is where it belongs.

Having driven several leveled trucks with both the coil spring suspension and the older leaf spring suspension I have never noticed any handling issues caused by the 3/8" to 1/2" that the axle moves with a leveling kit.

Just about any of the leveling kits out there will work just fine. It all comes down to personal preference. I would be looking for one that comes with caster angle adjustment shims. Adjusting the caster is the most important thing. The shock extensions are a non-issue, but replacement shocks are a much more desirable option since the factory shocks are pitiful at best.

 

Which one comes with caster shims? Couldn't this just be taken care of at an alignment shop after the install is done?

 

I have had no issues with mine. It has been from NJ to Houston and back, all over the east coast, and I'm down in WV with it now.

 

..i just had the readylift stage 3 installed in my 2011 F250 CC, and it looks great, but for some reason i thot it was a levelling kit...and it seems like the front sits a fair bit higher than the back...and it has a wishy washy feel to it, when i get on the throttle during passing.....i am gettin a bit concerned...stock Michelins with 20" rims still too...the mechanic said there were a couple extra parts in the kit and has no idea where they go...this is a good mechanic too...he said there was nuthin in the instruction manual on them either....i wish i knew how to upload a pic on here! lol.....

 

Sounds exactly like the caster needs to be adjusted. Extra parts? Hmmmm... I'd be on the phone with Ready Lift right away.

If I recall correctly I had two brackets left over and think they had something to do with the inner fenders. Not 100% sure what they were for but I never installed them and haven't had any problems.
