Door Lock Tumbler Assembly
OK guys bare with me this is my first post. The other day my driver side door lock quit turning so I went out and bought a new one. I know i could have just shot some lube or something in there but i was concerned about the ware on my key. Didn't now if any of the tumblers were worn out or not. This is the way i went about it.
First i removed the inner door panel.
Then the little black plug.
Witch reveled one of the door handle nuts. Remove this nut (11mm 1/4" drive socket)
down and to the right is the other nut tucked in behind the window track. remove this nut (11mm wrench)
Door handle removed reveling lever rods.
Find and remove E clip that holds the lever on the tumbler assembly.
Now remove the spring clip that holds the tumbler in place.
The tumbler assembly will slide out from the back.
install new tumbler assembly and then spring clip.(for ease of spring clip install i went ahead and removed handle from the other rod)
Reinstall lever on the tumbler assembly.
put lever rods back in place.
Put door handle back on door and test with a key.
Reinstall door panel and your done.
Hope this helps anybody that needs to do this
