I will be replacing my clutch in my 79 f700 dump 5 speed, split rear, 370 lima 2v.

I will be doing the clutch this weekend, the clutch is weak and starting to slip and smoke, truck still drives but only tops out at like 50 mph, plus clutch does not disengage until pedal is almoust all the way out, its not the adjustment its defenatly the clutch

I guess im just looking for some instuctions or any tips you guys might have

If the rivets from the clutch have eaten into the flywheel, you'll have to get it turned. Checking the pressure plate also for gouges. The pilot bearing in the back of the crank probably should get changed too. Its a roller bearing type, not a bronze bushing like on smaller vehicles.

Hope you have a trans jack cause that 5 speed is a bit too heavy to lift by hand. Once the trans is out and the inspection plate is removed you should be able to drop the clutch thru the bottom without having to pull the bell housing. If you unbolt the shift lever you can use a bungie cord to hold it up rather than removing the boot to pull it totally out.
