I just got this 98 E350 Chateau passenger van with the V-10 and just assumed it had a towing package. Today I looked and saw what appeared to be a trans cooler mounted in front of the radiator but I wanted to verify which tow package it has (std or hd?). It pulled my TT and I noticed that the rpms were much lower in OD at highway speeds (by sound no tach) than my Ex with the 4.30 so I wanted to know how to tell which rear gear ratio it had off of the VIN or gear code. The VIN is 1FMNE31S7WHA15450. There is a second bar of codes and under Axle is says 34. Where can I post to get an OASIS for this van?
Also does anyone know the approx empty weight of a E350 with factory seating (4 capts 1 bench) and options?

Not sure, but, I think that is standard on the V-10, unlike earlier years.

 

Gearing on the 34 axle is 3.73, and it's a not Limited Slip.

There should be a sticker on the driver side door that gives additional info.
