yep, Ive seen white, green, yellow, and black. Since we are not storing regular dino diesel it shouldnt have to be green or yellow. We want to paint ours blue.

Somehow I haven't been able to store it, goes right in the fuel tank as soon as it is done... White does make sense in the Summer, maybe go to black in the Winter???

Ok, I'll bite...why isn't it considered diesel and thus paint the tank green or yellow? If you stick the stuff in a gasser the engine won't run; yeah a turbine engine would be able to burn the stuff...but is it the same grade? I guess I'm only looking at this from one way. It's diesel fuel. Now, unless your state, county or city/township has a law about fuel tank colors...who cares if you paint it pink? I seem to remember around here..until you have a tank larger than 250 gallons, you don't have to have a permit for it, or retention device for leaks.

I'm just a little confused about the fanfare on tank color. Mark the outside with a flammable Haz-Mat diamond...to take the safe course.

Our Bio Diesel tanks at work have a Green Ring, with a B or BIO followed by a number IE B100 or BIO100 for 100% biodiesel. Our Boiler Tanks have B10 or BIO10 for 10% Bio and 90% low Sulfur Diesel. There is an argument going on About color coding for Clear, Red or Blue Diesel, which is pointless sense we can only use Clear Low Sulfur fuels.

Many of the ranches in my younger days, painted their tanks various colors. Yeah, it used to be red for gas, green for diesel.. the problem would be the middle of the night fuel ups by locals, LOL!

I am painting mine grey. It wont stick out or draw attention, and its a soft enough grey to help keep heat down in it during the summer.
