Hey Ya'll

I just thought I would stop by and say hey. I'm relatively new here and am enjoying it tremendously. I have a 1985 Ford F150 4x2 with a 4.9 in it, just thought I'd pass that on. My wife and I are going camping at the end of the month. We are going to Coopers Creek to do some trout fishing. That is about all I use my truck for anymore, other than trips to the local HD and the occasional dump run.

Hi and welcome to the Georgia chapter. That sounds like a nice truck you have.

Yeah, it's treated us well through the years. It was our first new vehicle, we got it right after we got married. I've always done 99.9% of my own maintenance and I've almost always replace everything that needed repairing or replacing with OE or better than OE (mostly better than OE). It has 180,000 plus miles on it now, and I would not hesitate to drive it cross country (if it weren't for the lack of decent fuel mileage and the price of gas). The body is a little rough, but I am planning on learning to do some body work and then having it repainted within the next several years.

That all sounds good. Good for you on properly maintaining the truck. I hear you about the gas. I need to learn body work myself.
