Gonna try running WVO

Whats the best way to filter this all out? Can I just use 5 gallon buckets and prefilter it with bedsheets, then after that what type of filtering should I do. I dont want to spend to much on this because I dont know if I am going to keep doing this or not, I just want to try it out first. Lets see your setups. I am going to run it at 80% Diesel and 20% WVO.

if you can find them ..furnace air filters work for getting the solids out just use a support underneath like a screen and if you warm it up it will flow faster ..the cheep filters work just fine ..are you seperating the vegge oil ..to remove the glyisern or going to try running it straight??

Ladies panty hose. I saw this used on a PBS show about UVO in a diesel Mercedes. He ran 100%, but in Ventura, California where it never gets much below 50 degrees F.

A guy I work with uses filter bags from Mc Master Carr to filter his veggie oil. He pours it thrugh a pool skimmer to catch the fries and chunks then a 25 micron to a 5 micron to a 1 micron @ 150 degrees. he uses 40% WVO to 60% diesel dumps right in tank of an 84 diesel Escort. His truck (00' 7.3L) uses 100% with a Golden fuels heated tank and heated filter. He has about 40k on this setup.

thats the big thing with veggie oil heating it up so it will move..but it will also eat the hoses from the inside over time..but not on all diesels there are veggie fuel forums that will share thier experiance with you ..always good to learn what dosen't work before you try..
