Lou's Custom Exhaust?

Anyone have experience with them before? Im looking at putting a catback on my 08 150 and am shopping around. Still not sure what im getting (304, 409 or alluminized steel) and if im getting a flowmaster 50series, magnaflow, or one of the others. I do know I want dual, pref out the sides behind rear tires if possible. Some local shop wanted about 500 for a custom job w/out mandrel bends and regular piping....NOPE.

And a friend of mine has a lift and tools to weld a Kit if I ordered it myslef.

Lou's in Waltham wanted exactly that much for a dual 3" with Magnaflows out in front of the rear tires, no cats for my '73. Not sure about the mandrel bends - I heard the price and tuned out.

We had one out in Fitchburg. It lasted about 5-years. A few years ago, they botched the muffler installation on my Ranger.

Every shop is different. Call around for prices and then check them out. It's not worth going for the lowest price if the help (while in action) resemble monkeys hitting an automatic transmission with a baseball bat.

Over here in Fitchburg, I can recommend Mario's. He is one of the best custom exhaust shops in the state.

hmm. I dont want to go with the lowest price but if i could get a kit from the manufacture for nearly the same price, I might as well do it myself.
The shop I was thinking of was in Brocton, I live 10 minutes outside of Providence. Thanks for the info.

I had an exhaust done in my jeep, he cut the stock pipe where it crossed under the motor, made a custom pipe into a high flow cat, into a flowmaster delta 40 race muffler then into a custom bent tail pipe made to clear the modified suspension, he also made the entire exhaust so it was higher up under the jeep (I use it for 4 wheeling and the clearance was key) He also warranties all his work, I had a rear hanger come loose and he swapped it out for a different one at no cost to me. It was a few years ago but I believe it was under $400 for everything, had it back in a day.

Place was East Coast Custom Exhaust in Framingham, MA (508) 620-1188
