Remove Computer

For my 92 F150, 4x4, 351w, can someone tell me where the computer is located and just exactly how to get it out?

I remember reading that it isn't located in a friendly spot and is a little tricky to remove. Not even sure where to start looking.

Thanks.

open hood, it is below brake booster a little towards fender.

a search would really get 100s of hits and much info for you.

Just out of curiosity, why are you pulling the computer? Swapping it out with a different one or what?

Remove the inner fender liner on the driver's side. Once that is out remove the EEC connector. If I recall there is another small metal bracket to remove then the computer slides out. Takes about 15 minutes.

what am I missing with this? I have removed the connector to the computer and the two nuts on the side of the firewall but it seems that the way to get the computer out is to push it back into the hold and get it from inside somehow?

When I removed inner fender liner that doesn't seem to get me what I need unless I am supposed to pull the computer out towards the front of the truck.
