Just curious as to which cam you guys would use in a F/I 2.3, a hydraulic flat tappet, or hydraulic roller follower?

The roller will not be affected by the low ZDDP levels in the oil. With the flat tappet I would recommend adding ZDDP with each oil change

excelent tip!

go with the roller as the open close rates are much faster and allow for more duration without affecting mileage or drivabuility.

i would replace the valve springs with it also to a set from a roller cammed engine
