There was a silver/gray (can't remember if it's an extended or CC) SD sitting at the corner of Kelley & North 50th on the NW corner (Ft. Smith) a couple of weeks ago. I haven't been over that way in awhile, so I don't know if it's still sitting there; but considering it had been there for a couple of months the last time I saw it...I figure it's still there. I want to say there was two SD sitting there...but I don't remember if the other was a gasser or PSD. Not sure if that helps any...
It will be almost two weeks before I get back home (...), but I'll keep my eyes open for one. How far are you will to drive to pick one up? I wouldn't rule out a 6.0L truck...the engine isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Other than a ICP sensor, my truck has gone 70k miles without an issue. Of course now that I've said that, it will won't start and will have three flats when I get ready to head to work.
Mike, are you feeling ok? Is the sand getting to you already??? I saw 2 trucks up by my daughters schoold for sale, I can check them out next time I go up that way.
I wouldn't mind having a 6.0, i just cant afford one, i will have to save my money, Maybe i can find a sucker to buy my dodge? lol
Didn't PT Barnam use to say there's a sucker born every minute? I'll admit, 6.0L powered trucks are expensive...and I'll be glad when mine is paid for (only 28 more payments); but toward summer when diesel starts to climb...AGAIN you might be able to pick one up for a song. That's how I came across mine. The original owner sold his 5th wheel because of back surgery issues. At which point the truck wasn't needed, diesel was starting to get more expensive than gas and his wife wanted a new Lincoln...so the truck became trade-in credit. Though when he told me he chipped the motor for pulling his 14k pound trailer....I got a little nervous for a couple of weeks. Just remember, treat a 6.0L like you'd treat your wife/girlfriend and you'll both (or all three) will have a long happy life together.
The sad part is I've started thinking about what I want after I pay the truck off. I figure the 50th anniversary Mustangs won't be too far off...and I'll be ready for a mid-life pacifier. Just haven't quite figured out how I'm going to sail this plan past the wife....anyone got any good ideas.
"Well, Dear, if you don't want me to get a Mustang, I'll just have to get a Harley".
or
"Yeah, Dear, you're right, and a tattoo *would* be a whole lot cheaper than the Mustang".
Or the one I used when I brought my 3rd Harley home,
"But Dear, I bought it for you."
Other than that, you're on your own. :-)
The body was pretty beat up on it, looked like it used to be a work truck or something. I took those pics with my phone so if anyone wants better pics I can go get them.
