bronco/crewcab conversion

I saw this on ebay, I dont know why someone would do this but it has a surperduty front grill, check out the exhaust going through the frame. Creative ingenuity. It is an awesome truck with alot of time invested in it though!

I'm not feelin' that grille or the mis-matched body lift blocks (and washers) either. The guy's a little gauge happy, too.

Other than that, it is indeed a pretty nice truck, but not as nice as the F600 Centurion on this site.

Will he get 10 Gs for it? I doubt it, though anything's possible.

Pretty cool, but I'm sure there are some gremlins to it.

I just wonder what else was hacked up that we cant see to make stuff fit? The exhaust got me though, WHY???
Someday i'll have my own though, when i get time to build it, i have the parts but no time and too many projects! Story of my life!

this truck has surfaced on ebay a few times. That tells me people should shy away from it.

why exactly did the frame have to be hacked for the exhaust?

how could you have seen it surface a few times if he has owned it for 10 years?

its a cool truck but the execution, with all the cutting I'd be nervous.. just like, well, this doesn't fit, so instead of doing the "right" thing and routing it around or changing out parts, we will just use what we have. And what we have is a cutting torch. def would not like to be in an accident in that truck.

then what is it? cause from what ive always seen, when a ford truck has been done up like a 4 door bronco, its a "centurion", regardless of when the conversion style started.

centurion conversions are professionally done, dealer conversion, same as a stretch limo. the truck on ebay is a backyard bodyman special that is probably just as much bondo as metal. i wouldn't trust buying something like that unless it was from someone i personally knew and knew the trucks build history

or if it was built by me... i HATE bondo... if it cant be done with metal and a grinder, it shouldnt be done IMHO.

Like fatdan said Centurion is a proffesional conversion company. Holes for exhaust threw the frame and hacked up shock mounts are backyard hack jobs.
