Another cheaper option is to go with a body lift, either 2 or 3" will lift the truck enough to fit 33s nicely.

I wouldnt worry about putting 12.5s on the stock rims, I have a friend whos got 33/12.5 on the stock rims. heres a pic of his truck

Not the best pic, but this truck has a 4" suspension lift and 33/12.5 on stock 93 f150 rims

15x10 is really only suitable for 12.50 width, but a 12.50 will fit stock rims just fine. For 11.50 and 8 inch wide rim is a better fit. For 10.50 7.5-8 inches wide is a good fit.

Stay away from body lifts.

The 30x9.5R15 's that are on the truck now drive me nuts because they look so tiny. And its not all just for looks I go offroading just about every weekend, so the larger tires would be nice. Im not sure if the 31" 's would be much of a difference at all (looks or performance).
On a 4wd you can run 32 11.50 and it looks sweet!

Whats the lower pressure going to do? Its just going to increase fuel consumption and tire wear as well as increase the chance of having the tire come off the bead.

I'm thinkin he was refuring to running a 33 on stock wheel at lower pressure so the whole tread hits the ground.

If you want some 33sn get some 15x10s with 4 inches of backspacing, and trim your front bumper a bit. I had my 33s on before I put a 1.25 spacer in the front...

I think 32"s would be perfect for me since i wouldnt have to worry so much about rubbing issues, regearing, etc. Its just that on all the charts ive seen, they say that a 11.5" wide tire is too large for a 7.5" wide rim.

You can lift the front pretty easy, a few people run f350 coils which gains you about 1.5-2in, Or go to a junk yard and get the coil spring seats from a 2wd. They are about 1.5in taller.

Im running the f350 coils and 33's look really nice. and so far i have no rubbing issues, but im running a different setup.

Hey fulldraw i have the same truck as you and i actually have 31 bfg all terrains on it now and they just look to small im currently looking for a set of 33s to put on and mine is completly stock so ill probably have to space the bumper or trim it so they dont rub. You will be much happier with 33s but intell you put a leveling kit on it dont flex the front to much or like previosly stated you may be looking for new fenders lol
