Any difference between green and yellow antifreeze?
Hi, just bought a 02 Screw with the 5.4l and would like to do a coolant flush. The manual says to use either green or yellow antifreeze? Is there a difference between the two?
Thanks

My opinion, stick with the 50/50 mix of green and distilled water.

yellow is the best fluid to use, however you can mix the two.

"yellow" or gold antifreeze is typically a long life antifreeze

Yellow antifreeze is G-05, and is backwards compatible to 1999 in most Fords.
Do NOT mix the two, if you swap between them make sure you do a thorough flush and use distilled water in both cases.
Either is fine, but you can go 50,000 miles on the yellow.

they can be mixed but you don't gain anything from the gold coolant if it is mixed with the green
