H.S. Kid looking for 1990's E350 School Bus

Hello, My name is MIkey and I am looking to buy a 1990's E350 Diesil School Bus. Any help would be grately appreciatted. I am initiating this from my dad's account and when I become a Ford Truck owner I will create my own ID. My dad is going to help by fielding any leads or questions that may come in on this. I am going to be graduating High School this June (2010) and a frined of mine and I are planning a cross country trip from Mass through Philly, Colorado, Portland, California and back later this year. We are looking for a 1990's E350 School bus Diesil. If you have one for sale or know of one please let us know. We have been checking ebay, craigslist and other sites on the internet and my dad who recently got a Ford Truck suggested trying you good folks. We are willing to travel to pick-up a vehicle should we find one somewhere in the U.S. I am looking for something that is already Mechanically sound atleast Engine and transmission. The body work I can do myself with Dad as well as much of the mechanical such as brakes, exhaust and other minor repairs. Our current budget atands at $1,500.00 however it is creeping up every month as we continue to work. Hoping you folks can help.

Thanks Mikey Lynch

Mike, if you're still looking for one or that one doesn't work out let me know. I've seen a used bus lot on some of my trips, can't remember where right now. I drive school bus for a living & just do field trips. I'm sure I'll see it again & try to remember where. I can provide you with a couple places that are closer to you if you want to try them, don't know what their inventory is like. 1 in Joisey & 1 in Pa. Good luck with your search.

Pat,

My son is still looking and adding to his budget (slowly). Your about on the fringe of how far we'd travel but if I can save $1,000.00 and get a good deal it would be worth the trip. Might be fun to do a little road trip with my son before I start hearing the fearsome sone "Cat's in the Cradle"

they grow up so darn fast.

any tips would be appreciatted, as I said there looking for a early to mid 90's E350 School bus Diesel.

Check Chicago Craigslist "Auto Parts" and look under E350. there is a 1995 ford diesel school bus, says it runs good and there is a couple of pics of exterior.

good news- price $600
bad news_ no title

Thanks for the Tip, I called and left a message, will ask him about the title situation. Looks like it's in great shape considering what we have looked at.

Thanks Mike

5tonford sure if you have contact information or a link send it to me either here or in a PM. We stopped looking for a bit due to a person issue but we have recently started looking again. I imagine for 1300.00 it's probably got it's issues but I don't have rose colored glasses. I figure we will be spending the money to get it road wworthy one way or another.

Thanks
Mike

If you are still looking, I have a 90. I replaced the trans with a heavy duty and a lot of other things. Just ran it primered, but was getting ready to paint it. The engine is a jasper rebuilt.

More info - It is a 7.3. It has a little rust, not much, except on the hood it has more. But I bought a new hood, just didn't get it put on yet. And I bought a new chrome rear step bumper for it. Also somewhere around here I have a used chrome bumper for the front. It didn't have a radio when I got it so I put one in with a CD player in it. I replaced some front end parts and glow plugs. I also put power windows in the front doors.

And how does it run overall? What are you getting for mileage on it. Any pictures? What are you looking to get for it?
