I'm ready for a big snow but if it gets too big I might be behind the wheel of a F550 with a plow on it instead of my F150 tomorrow night. I'll get paid in the plow but will have more fun in my F150.

I would really rather not have snow. That just means I have to go out to all the water troughs and break them up 4-5 times tomorrow. I have to haul the flatbed to Co-Op to get shavings. Not to mention having to ride the horses and that could be a "fun" time in the snow.

Rady or not, it is coming. We are now scheduled to get 7"-9" and just down the street is 10"-12".
I bet we will get close to 10".

Got a new sled the other day so bring it on!

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Its been snowing for about an hour and a half and we have between 1 and 2 inches already! They are calling for around 5 here but they said those numbers will most likely rise as it gets closer to dark!

the roads here are bad already. the ice hit first then the snow. and in 45 mph areas your lucky to be doing 30. they salt the roads then 10 minutes later they are iced and snowed back over. lol.

I'm not real sure where La Vergne is - but Memphis and Tipton county got BOMBED with the drifty white stuff today! I was just over at the Action News Five website looking at the traffic incidents and sure enough - pile ups all around the 240.

What is interesting is that there are also a whole bunch of warnings about the roadways going down to two lanes - you don't see that everyday...

Getting into my truck was like peeling a very stubborn hard boiled egg.

I used it to cut some ruts out to the road and back.

Does this look like the "MID-SOUTH" to you?

We've also got a couple inches already. If this lasts all night, we'll have some record snow fall!

Damn if it isn't snowing AGAIN! Real big flakes too - as if it's serious about it.

Ms. Billy Jean - down the way at the local bait and tackle shop (I'm right aroung the corner from Glenn Springs Lake) - told me weeks ago that the Farmers Almanac was calling this winter "BITTER" with colder than normal temps and a lot of wet.

It defies common sense how the farmers almanac could have possibly called it dead on when all of the national weather services with state of the art satellite data and computer modelling had a much more conservative outlook!

But I swear, the stuff is coming DOWN now!
("NOW....")

And it shows no sign of letting up.

Did I die and go to Pennsylvania without noticing it?
~I guarantee ya....

I ain't never seen anything like this around here in january. It's a doggone blizzard outside

I had my fun anyway - I love dropping it in 2nd and squirreling around.....
(So long as I don't git stuck)

What is it they say on TV?
"DON'T do this at home..."
(snikkerrezzz)

~And you thought SNOWBALLS were the best thing you could do!

I've got news: You can learn all the basics of dirt track racing in slow-motion!!!!
Ice and SLOP is something we seldom get to play with down around here. Try not to bend anything important...

Myself personally though - I chose option THREE:
"Get the heck off the road and let the inexperienced people construct their own demise"

It will be a lot safer once those who think they are super-drivers sort out their own financial fate.

"ICE WHEELING" is a delicate endeavor. It forces you to consider the concepts of "VECTOR" "TOTAL MASS" and "SPEED" ~vice~ "TRACTION".

Grand Tourismo 4 is a good example - I never thought that the physics programmed into that game were realistic - EXCEPT IN SNOW CONDITIONS...

And right now in this: there are a lot of people driving beyond their limits, and those of the car and tires.

"Chance favors the CAUTIOUS"

If you think it is safe to speed up and run fast- you have to ask yourself this: Are you following a completely ignorant driver?
What if they DON'T KNOW what is up ahead....
I always figure they ain't got there yet, so they prolly as ignorant as myself

I LIKE my truck. I payed good money for it (ya know?) - and I want it to still be there for me tomorrow.

We have plenty of examples around Memphis of "HOW NOT TO DRIVE"
~Don't be one of them....

Damn if it ain't snowing some more. I'm glad I'm warm and at home

It looks like Wisconsin outside my window. I have no idea what to make of this....

IF MY PLANTS DIE, I will have a problem with God....
