Glycerin Disposal

Glycerin Disposal
I have 50 gallons of glycerin I need to get rid of. If I lived on a farm or ranch, it would be easy. I live in the city so that's a problem. I stopped by the sewage treatment plant today and they were no help. Since they are not sure what it is they said "no". I know, I could probably dump a little at a time down the drain and no one would know but I don't want to take the chance of getting caught. Anyone have any suggestions? The methanol has been removed from it.
Thanks Tom

If I remember right Tom you're using KOH? If you are, you've got some great fertilizer in that drum! I've mixed it 50-50 with hot water and sprayed it on my alfalfa fields with great results. If you know any gardeners that use a compost pile give it to them. It promotes bacteria growth and cuts the time required for composting. You can also use it to make a very good liquid soap!

I use a good bit in a compost pile, but we have 6 horses, so that part is easy. You do have to dilute it with water to get it to really soak in.
I have also disposed of it by using it to burn brush piles. I throw it on a really hot fire and get away so I do not inhale the smoke.
If you contact anyone in the concrete business, they can use it to coat their forms so the concrete won't stick.
If you pm me I have the soap making fomula. KOH makes a liquid soap and I bet you could sell most of it (or give it away if so inclined) to mechanics. I do know that the pure demethed glycerin makes a fantastic hand cleaner. If you haven't tried it, you should.
