I have always used B.F Goodrich tires over the years because they have never failed me, my dad lives out in the country and the tires of choice there is Cooper tires, all the ranchers use them and have had good luck with Cooper's. I have Cooper studded snow tires on my 2002 F150 and they are the best winter tires i have ever had.
Ran BFG Rugged Trail T/A on my excursion. Finally after 102K miles I replaced them with Michelin LTX M/S II. Reason I didn't go with the BFG again was the siping only went to about +-65% of the tread (so I was told by the tire guy at Costco). The BFGs still had 10K miles left on them but they were the pits in the snow and ice so I put them on my old ranch truck to run them out. I bought the Michelin at Discount tire. Great service and fast and they stocked what I wanted.
Now that you mention it I do remember the BFG's on my bronco not doing very well in the snow and ice, I was running the BFG Mud Terrains and they had NO grip on icy roads. The Coopers I have now are studded and really work.
well i just found a super killer deal on a set of 31 10.50 cooper stt tires..i cant wait till i get paid on friday.. they are only 100 mounted and balanced!! they have over 50% tread left!!
