Who is into target and long range shooting?

Who is into target shooting and or long range shooting?

I am currently looking at building a long range hunting gun. I have a 300wsm that I am going to do a custom trigger and stock on. I also have several rim fire guns that I want to play with. Ruger 10/22, Marlin 22mag, Marlin 17 mach 2, and my baby, a Henry golden boy 22.

I shoot a 308blr for my long range gun right now. I want a bull barreled 700 in 260 Remington for my next centerfire rifle. My favorite rimfire is my Marlin 39a. Its very accurate. I want a savage chambered in a 17hmr to get more range. My favorite shooting sport is trap shooting. I have a Remington 1100 custom trap I use. Its a sweet gun from the Remington custom shop with fine wood. I've added a 3 lb trigger to it. I want a set of 90/10 Brilley choke tubes for its next mods. Its dead on now & I want it to shoot a little high so I can see the clay when I shoot. I like all shooting sports. I miss my old club the Memphis Sport Shooting Assn. My next shotgun will be a Baratta O&U custom trap combo. 30 inch double tubes & a 34 inch single

My 300wsm is a weatherby vanguard. It shoots pretty good. The trigger sucks. I'll do better with it after I replace the trigger.

Randall how do you like the mach2? I have one but havent shot it much.

I love it. I have the Carbon Graphite barrel on it.
Here's a picture of it.

Sweet gun Randall! I want a Savage or a CZ 17hmr . I prefer the CZ but its expensive, but you get what you pay for in guns. Tangi a good trigger really helps on accuracy. I like a 1.5 to 2 lb trigger on a rifle. I don't want to feel the trigger break.I have a good one in my old Model 70/3006. After I bought my 308 I retired the Model 70. Its a pre 64 model that I keep as a investment. Pre 64s are getting scarce. The 308 shoots 1/2 inch groups the 06 around 1 inch. The 06 is glass beaded & has a nice 1.5 lb trigger. The 308 is bone stock. I just got lucky on a off the shelf gun.

not into it that hard core, but i like doing some dabbling.

i've been on the "rimfire" websites and kinda got me hooked. really the real one that got me hooked was the ultimate long range pistol thread. there was a guy on rimfirecentral that had a well known 150 yard browning buckmark .22 pistol. i have a browning pistol, no where near accurate at that distance, but they are a fun pistol to fine tune. here one day i'll start on either a 10/22 or a Rem 597.

I want a High Standard 22 pistol. I missed the bid on one at a auction a while back. Great automatic 22s. I'll find one someday. You can't own too many guns IMO.

Yep buy a gun every chance you get. You never know when a gun ban might happen.
