DT 466 Transplant.
My buddy has decided to fund a project that is sure to be a great one if we are able to get it completed. We have decided to drop a 94 P-Pumped Dt 466 into a 77 bodied Ford truck and then plop that onto a 2004 F350 frame. Here are the only two pics of the project so far.
More to come once the motor arrives next week.

The firewall will need a lot of fabrication for the motor to fit. The newer frames will also keep us from having to mount the steering gear box on the outside of the frame due to the width of the motor. They also have better brake systems and such. The reason for the 01 is for the D60 front end.

This is great !!!!
I am planning on buying a 99-06 crew cab superduty and plunking one in.
The only problem is finding drivetrain stuff that will handle the power if you start putting in injectors etc.
I'm thinking the stock d60 should be alright, but extra springs in the front, and a lift too, just to make it fit.
My plan is to use a 6sp manual tranny with the 466, and worry about a transfer case after.....have to keep the HP lower to use anything but pulling parts...
Are you using this for driving around, or sled pulling?
Look out dodge boys.

That's one of the main reasons I'm tackling the Ford 6.6 in my 67. So many 6BT swaps, and it's cooler to have an all Ford drive train.
