Arrow Sat Mar 13, 2010 - FTE Spring Anniversary GTG

Sat Mar 13, is our next official meet.

Lets get some dialog going on a location.

I considered an indoor pavilion at Petit Jean, but they are closed through 3/31 according to the website. I'll call and double-check that though.

Wherever we decide, it should probably be somewhere indoors.

How 'bout Robinson Maneuver Training Center as I have a drill that weekend. I'm sure if it was close by I could be there for a couple of hours. Hey. Our first ever GTG was not far from there at burns park. we rented a pavilion and had an awesome time.

Ok, just confirmed on the phone that there is absolutely no pavilion at Petit Jean that we can rent before 3/31. And they are undergoing renovation so they may not even available then.

Post up guys, I'd like to get a "where" nailed down so we're not rushing at the last minute.

Any ideas?

How about Toad Suck? The only other places I can think of are centrally located Big Dam Bridge park (either side) or Maumelle lake (off Hwy 10 west of the Murray/I430). Seems like the later has camping and a decent sized playground for the kids...they know they are.

Are you referring to Toad Suck Park? Little Rock District - Toad Suck Park

They have picnic shelters you can rent, but I'd like to find something atleast partially enclosed if possible.

By march its still cold sometimes, nevertheless I'll check into it further.

Sometimes is the hitch in this case. It was 64F yesterday up here..supposed to get into the low 70's today; yes I've been riding my scooter the last couple of days. Where talking about a region that had 6F for a low a little less than two weeks ago.

Getting back to the subject at hand...I'm open to suggestions I was only throwing out places I was aware of in the area. It's been over 20 years since I've lived in the greater LR/Conway area so I'm not certain what's available and what's not.

I agree with the inside meet , just about every March meet we have had its been cold. How about the Senior Center in Vilonia ? I will check on availability , the best thing about that place is it will be free thanks to my mom-in-law .

The senior center is available , I had my mother-in -law reserve it so if we are not going to have it there let me know so we can open it up for other people. This will cost us $00.00 nothing, nada, zip....... Here's pics of our 2008 meet at the Senior Center https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gallery/displayalbum.php?userid=183681&albumid=33244 It has a full kitchen plenty of chairs , tables and room.
I was thinking how about another "Chile Cook Off " ?
