I just saw a truck for sale that I've never seen before. It's a duallly, cc 4wd that's got a regular pickup bed and an F550 badge on it. I called on it and the owner told me it's a 2002 with the 7.3 PSD, 6 speed manual transmission and 155K miles. I didn't know Ford made the F550 with a regular pickup bed in '02. He's asking 19,500 for it which doesn't seem too bad for that much truck and as clean looking as it is. Anyone ever seen one of these?

 

Considering that I have always dreamed of having a F550 pickup I can tell you now its probably a custom job. But for under $20K either way its a hell of a find.

 

So long as it is actually an F550, and no just re-badged.

 

Ford didn't make an F550 pickup, but a few aftermarket companies mounted F350 beds on F550 chassis. You can tell by a small spacer mounted at the front of the bed. The F550 chassis is a few inches longer than the F350 chassis.

Alternatively, it is really easy to put F550 badges on an F350.
