Oil pan repair?

Does anyone know any good repair shops that will replace my oil pan for a reasonable price? I'd even consider someone cutting the cross member to do it. Everyone I called wants from 1600 to 2300 to do it.

Is the truck driveable??? One of our techs does work on the side and might be interested in tackling the job for you. He's generally about 1/2 the price...cash only...and is very talented. He does all the repairs on my Taurus.

That would be a pretty expensive tow if you had it done professionally...approximately 80 miles or so.

I'll talk to him...perhaps as early as tomorrow...and see if he's interested in the job.

Ya let me know I'm not exactly sure how far Triple A gold will tow, but this is my primary vehicle so I'll do what I have to do.

I might see him tomorrow...you can call me at work...1.800.356.0075...ask for Ken. I should be there until noon or so...if I'm busy leave a voice mail for me. I might not be able to talk to him until Monday though.

I just got off the phone with a guy that swears he can pull the motor and have it installed in three hours. Sounds a little fishy to me what do you think?

Ya they just patched it for the time being just so I could get it running for the storm to make some money plowing but I'm definitely gonna need to have it completely replaced
