I have a 2005 F350 diesel. When I turn on my parking lights or headlights, all my instrument panel displays go out (climate control, radio, message center). Any ideas? Thank you.

 

I found the problem and I'm feeling pretty foolish. I had my truck in for a safety inspection yesterday and the tech must have bumped the instrument panel dimmer when he was turning on the headlights. When I turned the headlights on this morning, it was after sun-up, but cloudy. Between the adjusting wheel being turned down a little and the normal automatic dimming that occurs when there is not complete darkness, the instrument panel displays weren't visible.

I feel foolish, but I'll take that over having an expensive electrical problem.
