Vinyl Paint ???s

I have a 84 250 with everything original Ford red (almost maroon red) on the interior. As a project, I'm strippin her down. I've got a buddy re-upholstering the bench seat and headliner with a black and red (matched color). He's also changing the carpet from the red to black. But to keep its original red, I want to keep all the vinyl pieces in the truck with that red. So, my problem is...I can't seem to find a vinyl red paint that is matched to a Ford original.

Does anyone know where I can find vinyl paint that is matched to this Ford original color? I've looked into Colorbond and Dupli-Color.

I just want to make sure I'm ordering exactly whats in the truck.

Any help is appreciated!

I would check with an auto paint store that deals with DuPont products. I have ordered specific vinyl paints from DuPont in the past

SEM has some pretty good stuff. Dont forget, your interior is 20+ years old and it has fadded/ burned the color. So you will not find an exact match.

You could also take all the plastic interior pieces to a paint/body shop and they can mix the appropriate color based on the paint code for your truck. Either they could paint the pieces or sell you the paint.

A local body shop, using DuPont paint products, painted the interior plastic pieces of my son's 1984 F-150. It turned out great and matched extremely well. Two years later and it still looks the same. The paint adheres well and is flexible.
