caliper removal

i am trying to replace the brake pads on my 07 expedition and i need to remove the caliper bolts but i cant find the right rize key for the bolt. Is it a hex or a star what size do i need

It is a Torx (Star) insert bolt. I'm thinking a T-45 or T-47. Pick up a set for your socket wrench from the parts store.

it looks like an allen head to me but i will try the torx tommorow

its a hex head 7mm.

well it turned out being a 9mm hex head

That's odd, my rear calipers were 7mm, are they different in the front?

i think so, i had to end u gettin a 9mm allen head wrnch from home depot. it was a pain the the a$$ looking for a 9mm socket. nobody carries it

I'm still trying to remember which vehicle I have that uses the Torx socket that I bought my set for.
