2011 Ford Super Duty Hill Descent Control article
Hey guys,
Another nice feature to be found in the 2011 Super Duty. You've experienced hill descent control in a number of other cars: you start rolling downhill and that automatic resistance starts applying itself -- very comfortable.
So how do you feel about it in your Super Duty? You've got a couple tons of soil behind, it would be nice not to have to jam your foot down on the brakes coming down a hill. What jobs typically have you bringing heavy materials down a descent? Do you feel like this feature will make a difference?

It's awesome
I've used mine in my Raptor already. It's fantastic. It's like having an ultralow granny gear with a manual transmission. Here's the best part: You can tackle an insanely steep hill, not make it, put it in reverse with the Hill Descent turned on, and just drive down the hill backwards. How awesome is that!? Any offroader will tell you that this is the most terrifying position to be in, and it's just no big deal with the Hill Descent mode turned on. Bon Appetite!
