Ken,
I read the guidelines and still have a question..
If someone is looking for parts for there truck (pre70's)and ask specifically for certain parts, are we allowed to ask them to email us to negotiate a sale of these used parts?
Also, can we use our Club websites to display items for sale?

Actually, its preferred if you ask them to email you rather than negotiate on the boards. I really have nothing against personal ads on the boards, its just that no one wants to read an outdated advert 12 months later while doing a search. That, plus disk space, is the primary reason I don't want ads on the boards.

The Club FTE site can be used for any legal, non-commercial purpose, within reason. If you want to post your parts for sale, go for it. If you want to put up pictures of the family.... go for it. The results of home brewing experiments... fine. If you wanted to put up Penthouse photos... no

Ken, just one question on the guidelines. It says you can post a subject in more then 2 forums, but what if it deals with more then 2? ie.. I tow with my 74 F350 that has a 460, and if I was asking a question about an engine mod it may apply to the 61-79, perf, towing, and 385 engine forums. What should we do in that case? Just asking. TIA

Ken, I was on a site recently where I recall the same question seemed to be in several applicable forums and in each these forums all the responses from the other forums were displayed (I think it was inliners.com). It is possible to set things up so that when one posts they can select several applicable forums in which their post would simultaneously appear. Then responses from all those forums would appear in each of the selected forums (and the original poster would only have to visit one of the posts to get all the responses). The actual data storage would be no greater since each forum would be accessing the same location of disk space which is in the forum first posted and the other selected forums would be linked to the original post. I know it can be done, but whether it is practicable is the other question. And, with all the jobs you now have, it could be a while before such a setup could be effected. On the other hand, you may not want it that way, because it could result in a degree of visual clutter. If such a system were in place, then I could select User Feedback as second place for this to post.
