WooHoo! Stuck on the side of the road in TX
Looks like the oil pump went out! Nice 3 hours on the side of the road in TX.

The oil pump died at mile marker 13 on 40-E
Now at Amarillo

Took it to messer ford monday morning, $3800 HPOP, IPR, IPC, and who knows what else.
They will have it today around noon. Having internet problems also at hotel, so that is who no updates.
up to 18 hours labor.
Grand Mother, will not make it untill sundown today, To bad I could have not made it to see her before then end.

Sounds like they are shotgunning that thing. I don't know much about the 6.OH!! But the HPOP in the 7.3 is a very reliable component. They never go bad. Yours shouldn't either. Did you ever go to the SD section on this forum to get troubleshooting ideas?

Yea, but when you are on the side of the road out of state you are att the mercy of the mechanic.
