Possible ABS Problem

Thought I would ask my local chapter boys first. The other day my 2000 Expy's brakes started grinding and before I got home the ABS light on. when I parked it and shut it off a fan like sound stays running. I have to disconnect the battery to make it stop. Any Ideas what it might be?

thanks

Most likely separate issues. My Navigator did the exact same thing with the fan once. Originally thought maybe something got wet and shorted, but it turned out to be a low voltage issue of some kind. Replaced the battery and it's never done it since.

The brakes....well, if they're worn down so far that they are grinding metal I'd say the caliper pistons are over extended and you're losing fluid pressure.
