Unusual, Outrageous, Ingenious, or Luxurious rigs you've seen

Let's call this the official FTE thread for any off-the-wall rigs you see in your travels. They can be homade marvels, redneck ingenuity, outrageously expensive or anything in between. Pictures are especially appreciated and encouraged.

Come on, rack'em up friends.

I'll start it off with this one we saw last weekend. Obviously it started out as a tent trailer. At first I thought he had just walled it in permanently, but speaking with the guy later I learned that the panels all lift out and he carries them along and installs them at the site. The top still cranks up and down for towing. You can see the hand winch on the tongue next to the propane cylinders. Inside it's set up for just one guy, with a permanent head, galley, 3 tanks, bed, and even a computer workstation. Definitely a little odd, but nicely executed. He was already explaining how he was going to rebuild it next time.

I want to build something like this, but with the tent camper sideways so I have a camper with a porch while parked.

My First Toter Builld

I built this in my spare time from September of 2000 to April of 2001. I bought the truck for $2000.00. It had a DT466 210hp 5speed with a two speed rear. I spent $2500 doing the conversion. The rear of the cab was cut out and bucket seats installed allowing access from the cockpit to the living quarters. I tried to find the pic of the inside but they're somewhere. If I find them later I Will post them. I sold this in 2003 to build my Kenworth KW900L with 500hp 15speed Toter. I will try to find the pics of the build and post them also.

the guys on Xtreme 4X4 did that...the problem with turning it side ways is that it would be to wide for the road...

Heres something I ran across one day. Someone took a 5th wheel camper and set it on the back of this freightliner.

Heres a rig I saw on craigslist.

No pics of this, but I met a guy that was converting an old church bus to an RV. It had an old two stroke detroit diesel in it. The interior was a work in progress. He had a bedroom built, a makeshift head, and most of the kitchen done. Because the bus had curves instead of square corners, EVERYTHING had to be custom made. The luggage storage bins under the bus were full of woodworking tools he was using to build the interior. He had a generator, so he'd fire it up, plug the table saw in, and start cutting - wherever he happened to be.

I wish I had pics. What a project he had going.

I just saw this on Autoblog. Outrageous? I kind of think so. Even though it's 4WD, I can't imangine it being too off-road worthy. Nice none the less.

i saw that rig at Cars and Coffee here in Irvine last weekend...it was really nice,

they dont show you really well, but the front of the bed drops down and there are 2 quads on the roof that can be brought down through the bed, there was also a jeep that matched paint wise...
