Sorry Guys, But Ive crossed over to the dark side.

Sorry guys but due to years of searching for a large tray top 70s Ford with no success Ive gone and bought a Dodge, please don't think that Ive defected completely as I still have my smaller Fords but 8 ton 70s Ford trucks are thin on the ground in the great land of Oz. Any criticism will be recieved below. Sorry again.

Man its hard to find good F trucks outside of the US it seems especially in the Southern Hemishere. Thats why the new Ranger is so important to me as we do not have the wide varity to choose from. I wish it will become midsize as load space often beats outright payload. Do they still import the Brazillian F250 to OZ? In SA they sadly just quietly dissapeared... Read they replaced the 4.2 I6 tdI with a 3.9 I4. Makes more power though.

They don't still import them - similar to you they quietly disappeared.

The 3.9 I4 is the Cummins engine... replacing the MWM unit.

I kinda thought they mite 'coz they said ours was "piggybacking" on a shipment destined for you guys. Somehow an i4 doesnt seem rite in a F250 but the power outputs seems good. And its a Cummins...
Do you have more info on the previous MWM unit please as i'm am not fammiliar with them (MWH). I kinda liked it as it somehow reminded me of the 300 i6 of yesteryear. Kinda wished they would have offered the PSD as option for the double cab atleast.
Love your Falcon UTE
