New timing belt no spark.

I recently picked up a 91 ford ranger with an auto. The previous owner said it quit running and will no longer start at all. So I replaced the timing belt due to missing teeth. When I put everything back together I started and ran rough for a few seconds and died again. It will no longer start.

I had the DIS module tested at the local parts store twice and it was said to be in good condition. I looked at the crank sensor and cleaned the fins with some fine sandpaper.

Where is the next place to look and tips?

Make sure the new belt is still in good shape. It could be the cam, tensioner, or countershaft is seizing.
